California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a state of emergency across the state due to the spread of wildfires in the north, which are being driven by high winds.
"We are using all available resources in the face of fires," Newsom said, calling on residents to comply with evacuation orders.
Local authorities in the state have also ordered some 180,000 people to leave their homes as fires moved into populated areas near San Francisco Bay amid power cuts.
