The amount of wheat and barley seed sifted and sterilized at the branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in the province of Hama to date 15 thousand tons in preparation for distribution to farmers with the start of financing operations next season with agricultural production requirements.
Engineer Abdul Ghani Al Aswad, director of the branch, explained that the sifted and sterilized quantities included 14 thousand tons of wheat seed and 1,000 tons of barley, pointing to the continuation of the branch screening and sterilization operations, pointing out that the screening and sterilization operations are carried out in the main sieve in Kfarbham with a production capacity of 150 tons per day and mobile agricultural mechanization sieve. And a card of 50 tons of seeds a day.
Al-Aswad said that 6,500 tons of sifted and sterilized wheat seeds were distributed to various branches of the Agricultural Cooperative Bank in the governorate of Sham 7, Douma 1 and ACSAD 65. He pointed out that the branch contracted with farmers who want to produce wheat seed in the propagation fields for the next agricultural season. Peasants wishing to cultivate their fields can register their names and see the contracting conditions at the branch office in the city center.
The plan includes the production of about 20,000 tons of wheat seed for next season.
