Sisi reiterates his country's support for the political solution to the crisis in Syria

CAIRO, (SANA) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's stand in support of the political solution to the crisis in Egypt

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's stance in support of the political solution to the crisis in Syria in a way that preserves the country's unity, unity and territorial integrity.

This came during talks held by El-Sisi in the Egyptian capital Cairo today with the Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany Haiko Mas on the latest developments in the crisis in Syria, especially ways to push the political solution crisis.

On the other hand, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said that the Turkish aggression on Syria is a violation of the principles of international legitimacy and threatens international peace and security.

Shukri said during a joint press conference with his German counterpart that the Turkish attack on northeastern Syria has a negative impact and will lead to the spread of extremist elements, stressing the need to eliminate terrorist elements that threaten the Syrian people and the entire region.

Shoukry pointed out that the meetings of the Syrian Constitutional Discussion Committee in Geneva are firmly established to advance the political solution to the crisis in Syria.

For his part, Mas pointed out that the Turkish attack on Syrian territory led to the displacement of thousands of Syrian civilians.

On the other hand, Mas said that the meetings of the Constitutional Discussion Committee in Geneva tomorrow is a success in the framework of the steps of a political solution, pointing out that his country is looking forward to the return of displaced Syrians to their homeland.

Earlier in the day, Jennifer Fenton, spokeswoman for the UN special envoy to Syria, Geir Pederson, announced that all 150 members of the constitutional debate committee had arrived in Geneva in preparation for the committee's meetings tomorrow.
