Beirut-Sana
A number of youths have uprooted tents for demonstrators in the center of the Lebanese capital Beirut in a development of protests that have been going on for 13 days as security forces intervened to separate protesters from citizens who wanted to open blocked roads.
The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that the citizens entered this afternoon to Riad Al Solh and Martyrs Square in downtown Beirut and worked to uproot and destroy the protesters' tents.
Clashes broke out this afternoon at the Ring Crossing in central Beirut between a group of citizens who wanted to open the road and a group of protesters insisting that the main road leading to Hamra be closed.
The army and security forces intervened to separate the two groups in these forms, injuring six people.
