(CNN) - The brave dog that helped catch ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is called Conan and will soon be in the White House, US President Donald Trump posted on Twitter.

This Thursday, the president revealed the name of the military canine that was injured in the operation against al-Baghdadi. And he also indicated that Conan, a Belgian Malinois pastor, will leave the Middle East next week and then visit the White House.

On Sunday, when Trump announced the death of al-Baghdadi during a special forces operation in Syria, he mentioned that a dog had participated in the raid. The president said the "talented dog" was injured while chasing al-Baghdadi through a dead end tunnel.
