Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim stressed the importance of unifying and continuing international efforts to combat terrorism.
"Hakim stressed in an interview with the Dutch media network the importance of cutting off funding and support for terrorists and holding them accountable for their crimes," a foreign ministry statement said.
Hakim explained that the Iraqi judiciary is committed to prosecute Iraqi or foreign terrorists who have committed crimes on its territory and is not responsible for the prosecution of foreigners in other countries for crimes committed there.
