The first meeting of the enlarged body of the Constitutional Debate Committee began at the United Nations Building in Geneva with the participation of the delegation supported by the Syrian Government and other delegations.

The Committee to discuss the Constitution began its work in Geneva yesterday with an opening session in which Pedersen and heads of delegations spoke, where the head of the delegation supported by the Syrian government in the Constitution Discussion Committee Dr. Ahmed Al-Kuzbari that the Syrian people have the exclusive right to determine the future of his country, stressing the rejection of any form of external interference In the work of the Constitution Discussion Committee, which must be based on the principles of the sovereignty, unity, independence and territorial integrity of Syria.

It is noteworthy that the Committee to discuss the Constitution consists of 150 members representing the delegation supported by the Syrian government and the delegation of other parties and civil society delegation by 50 members each delegation.
