Daraa-Sana
The Public Institution for Drinking Water in Daraa province started today the implementation of a drinking water line from Khirbet Ghazaleh wells, benefiting about 74,000 citizens in the neighborhoods of Daraa Al-Balad, Al-Sad Road and Camp in Daraa city.
The Director General of the Foundation, Engineer Mohammed Al-Masalmeh told SANA that the total cost of the line is 364 million liras, 8 km in length and 300 mm diameter of flexible pipeline with an implementation period of 150 days.
Al-Masalmeh pointed out that the neighborhoods of Daraa Al-Balad, Al-Sadd Road and the camp are being irrigated through a temporary line from Al-Ash'ari wells and Al-Dahiya pumping station.
In September, the Daraa Water Establishment established a new line of water from the springs of Oyoun al-Abed in active service as an alternative to the Zizoun springs, which were dried up by random drilling of wells during the crisis years.
