The Dutch tourist, Michael, a metal engineer, said that “the images he saw before his arrival in Palmyra were not enough and when he visited the reality he was surprised by the architecture built by artists two thousand years ago, which shows the ability of man to destroy and his intelligence in praising those edifices that remained steady all that period. He pointed to his deep sorrow and pain when he saw the great triumphal arch, the temples, cemeteries and statues in the museum, which were ruined by those sinful hands that offended the whole world culture.
