After the discovery of 39 bodies in a truck near London, another man has been arrested in Ireland. The British authorities want his extradition - and ask two brothers to stand up.

The case had caused horror: East of London, a truck with 39 bodies was found at the end of October. Now the authorities in Ireland have arrested another suspect.

Security forces executed a European arrest warrant for a 23-year-old man. This was reported by the British police. The agency announced that it would seek the extradition of the suspect from Northern Ireland. He is accused of manslaughter in 39 cases as well as trafficking and immigration offenses. In addition, the police asked two suspicious and also from Northern Ireland brothers to face the authorities.

"We need you to support this investigation," Chief Inspector Daniel Stoten of the County of Essex police in the Northern Irish capital Belfast said to the men. The police phoned the older brother. Details of the conversation Stoten did not. However, it is essential to personally interrogate the 40 and 34-year-old men.

Driver of the car is already charged

The brothers operate a transport company in the northern Irish town of Armagh. They are wanted for manslaughter and man-trafficking after the bodies of 31 men and eight women were discovered in a refrigerated truck on October 23. The driver of the car, a 25-year-old Nordire, has already been charged with manslaughter in 39 cases, involvement in trafficking, illegal immigration and money laundering, and is being held. Three other suspects were released on bail.

Stoten said the Northern Ireland police secured a truck on Thursday in contact with the brothers. But there were no further arrests.

The identity of the dead is still largely unclear. According to the first information, these were Chinese, but there are indications that many victims are from Vietnam. Presumably, the people are migrated to the country migrants. The tractor of the truck in which the bodies were found had come from Ireland. The semi-trailer was brought by ship via the Belgian port of Zeebrugge to the English port of Purfleet.
