The Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Shura Council for International Affairs, Hossein Amir Abdullahian, reiterated his country's support for Syria's sovereignty and unity in the face of US attempts to undermine its territorial integrity.
Abdullahi said in a statement today: "Iran supports the territorial integrity in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon, as well as the territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia, but the Saudis do not realize this and imagine that they will be safe from the US conspiracy and they can buy security through money."
"The United States is trying to divide Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Saudi Arabia by various means and methods," Abdullahian said, adding that "the triangle of US-Saudi and Zionist terrorism does not allow the Iraqi government to meet the demands of its people."
