(CNN Spanish) - An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 shook La Rioja, Argentina, this Sunday, according to a report by the United States Seismological Service (USGS).

According to the USGS, the seismic focus of the telluric movement was 110 kilometers deep. Meanwhile, the epicenter was located 86 kilometers east-southeast of La Rioja, Argentina.

The movement was also felt in parts of Chile.

According to the National Seismological Center, the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.7 located 100 km west of La Rioja, Argentina.
