In a statement to SANA correspondent, Eng. Nazih Al-Rifai, director of Homs agriculture, said that the number of licensed presses in the governorate is 56, indicating that the initial estimates for olive production for the current season exceed 90 thousand tons and an increase of 28 thousand tons from the previous season.

For his part, Eng. Jbara pointed out that there are four production lines in the press with a capacity of more than 150 tons per day, noting that the oil production in the region this year is relatively small and therefore the press does not work at full production capacity, as for peat water, it is used in agricultural land where it is spread among the rows of trees and quantities studied As per recommendations.
