From Yusuf Al-Azma Square passing through Al-Marjeh Square to Damascus Citadel, today civil and official events joined an environmental march organized by the Environment Directorate in Damascus governorate, with musical and theatrical performances on the necessity of preserving the sustainability of natural resources and combating pollution.
Sana monitored the views of a number of participants in the march, where Bilal Safadi from her volunteer team that everyone is responsible for the preservation of the environment through several behaviors, including not throwing dirt in other places and the protection of gardens and planting trees, while Zain Ibrahim wished to popularize the afforestation and hygiene campaigns in various areas .
Judy Khaled Al-Shaar came to the march with her colleagues from the Industrial Institute for her desire to actively participate in encouraging the preservation of the environment, she said.
Cleaners were also present at the walk as the cleanliness of the city was their main task, according to Hussein al-Bakr, who pointed out the need for stakeholders to intensify their efforts to spread a culture of environmental protection.
