The Egyptian armed forces announced the elimination of 83 terrorists and the arrest of 61 others in addition to the discovery of explosive devices and equipment and the detection of tunnels in a number of Egyptian areas.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian army today that the army, police and counter-terrorism forces carried out several qualitative operations in north and central Sinai, killing 83 terrorists, including 6 high-risk Takfiris and arresting 61 terrorists in addition to seizing about 376 explosive devices and destroying two tunnels of cooperation with the border guards, 33 cars and 93 A motorcycle without metal plates used by terrorist elements during its attacks.
The statement also noted the destruction of a large number of shelters and bunkers, as well as the discovery of 65 weapons of various types, 78 coffers, 20 mortar shells and the amount of ammunition of various caliber, explosive devices intended to detonate, solar units and communication devices.
The statement pointed out that "the clash with terrorist elements resulted in the death of an officer and the injury of two soldiers."
In Sinai and other areas, terrorist groups from the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS groups occasionally carry out terrorist attacks targeting civilians and the military.
