Tehran-Sana

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran has managed to build a new model of ninth-generation centrifuges and maintained a full nuclear fuel cycle by exploring, extracting, processing and enriching uranium to yellowcake, and production of low-enriched uranium has risen 10-fold in two months, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said.

"Before the nuclear deal, we had five types of centrifuges and after the third step of reducing our nuclear obligations, we have 15 new types of these centrifuges," Salehi told a news conference at the Natanz facility in central Iran.

Salehi said that Washington's wrong policies have prompted Iran to take such steps, stressing that his country has not abandoned its right to research and development with regard to centrifuges and the production of new generations of them.

Salehi announced earlier in the day the opening of a series of centrifuges modern and sophisticated at the Natanz facility in central Iran.
