Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi refuted the Wall Street Journal's claim that Iran had proposed the launch of consular services between Iran and the United States.

Moussaoui vehemently denied allegations that Iran wants to set up a US consular services department at the Swiss embassy in Tehran, the Fars news agency reported.

The Wall Street Journal claimed in a report yesterday on the issue of Iranian-American relations that Tehran had submitted a proposal to launch consular services.
