The Committee on Budget and Accounts in the People's Assembly discussed the investment budget of the Ministry of Education and its affiliated bodies for 2020, amounting to 32.558 billion five hundred thousand pounds.
Members of the Committee stressed during their interventions the need to complete the restoration of schools as soon as possible and to provide them with teaching cadres, localize education in the new education competition, improve the living conditions of teachers, address the shortage of textbooks, give priority to vocational education and development because of its role in the reconstruction phase, in addition to providing the ministry with teachers specialized in languages. .
He called on the members to lay the foundations and controls for special education, and provide means of transport and give advantages to teachers in remote areas and abolish the age requirement of competitions and reduce the duration of the disadvantage of the student punished because of exceeding the exam instructions and seek to abolish the phenomenon of private lessons and implementation of the recommendations of the Educational Development Conference and work on the issuance of a special instrument for the development of job ranks.
Minister of Education Emad Al-Azab said that since the beginning of the year, 1997 schools have been restored and the number will reach 2,000 schools by the end of the year, pointing out that the percentage of printed books reached 110 percent, pointing out that the ministry is about to announce a competition soon to avoid the shortage of teaching staff Disadvantaged to only one year.
