The Netherlands today admitted responsibility for the killing of dozens of civilians in an air strike carried out under the pretext of fighting the Islamic State terrorist organization near the city of Kirkuk in northern Iraq in 2015.
The Netherlands has been participating in the US-led illegal coalition since 2014 from outside the UN Security Council on the pretext of combating the Islamic State terrorist organization in Syria and Iraq.
"A bomb dropped by a Dutch F-16 fighter on the night of June 2, 2015, killed about 70 people, including civilians and ISIS terrorists," Dutch Defense Minister Anna Belfield Shoten said in a letter to parliament.
It occurred after the raid, which allegedly targeted a facility belonging to the terrorist organization, resulting in the destruction of a large number of other buildings.
In another airstrike carried out by Dutch aircraft in the framework of the so-called "international coalition" killed four civilians by a bomb on their home in the city of Mosul on September 20, 2015.
According to the Dutch Ministry of Defense, its aircraft carried out 2100 sorties over Iraq as part of the illegal operations of the "International Alliance" between October 2014 and 2018.
Washington's illegal alliance committed countless crimes that led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians, the displacement of tens of thousands of people, and the destruction of infrastructure in many cities and regions, both in Syria and Iraq, especially in the city of Raqqa, which was systematically destroyed by coalition aircraft.
