This is Veby Mega Indah, a 39-year-old reporter, who lost sight of his eye as the bullet fired by a police officer tore his pupil. Veby filed a complaint with the police, along with his statement of facts. The Hong Kong Journalists Association "vehemently condemned the Police for ignoring the freedom to inform by repeatedly using unnecessary force against reporters." CNN attempted to obtain statements from the Hong Kong Police Department. In response, they said the case is being investigated and they cannot comment on it.
