The Budget and Accounts Committee of the People's Assembly discusses the investment budget of the Ministry of Interior

The Committee on Budget and Accounts in the People's Assembly discussed the investment budget of the Ministry of Interior for 2020, amounting to 24 billion pounds.

He called on the members of the committee to develop laboratory centers and the criminal lab and provide it with modern equipment and qualify the ministry cadres with training courses and the extent to which the national number can be used to solve the problem of similarity of names facing citizens.

The members questioned the subject of upgrades and grades, the draft of the electronic passport and the digital address, the date of completion of the one-secretariat project, and called for securing functional housing, in addition to finding a formula to amend the status of the internal security forces who have a license in law and transfer them to places commensurate with their testimony.

In response to the members' questions, Interior Minister Major General Mohammad Al-Rahmoun explained that the subject of the upgrades and grades is under study and treatment, that work is underway to develop the equipment of the criminal security laboratory and the digital address project, and that the single secretariat project will be completed at the beginning of next year. Work is underway on the implementation of two towers in the suburb of Assad and a functional housing in Barzeh residences and behind the officers club, pointing out to work to solve the problem of nurses working in the police hospital and find a formula to transfer law graduates to civil affairs.
