WASHINGTON (Reuters) - What the United States has said about its intention to loot Syrian oil proves its breach of international laws and the aim of its illegal presence on Syrian soil is to steal its natural wealth, not to fight terrorism as it claims, the website said on Tuesday.
The website stressed in its analysis today that the continued illegal US military presence in Syria without the consent of its government is a clear violation of international law, pointing to the US support for terrorist organizations.
The Russian Defense Ministry published late last month a map of the oil fields in Syria and pictures of satellites taken last September showing the convoys of tankers transporting oil outside Syria under the guard of US military personnel and elements of private US military companies.
The site scoffed at the US announcement that the Islamic State leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, had been assassinated, noting that it was a theme for a Hollywood film.
