Syrian company for ready-to-wear (Waseem) managed to achieve good production rates during the first nine months of this year compared to the same period last year.
According to a report that follows the company's production plan, there is an improvement in the quantity of ready-made garments produced during the first nine months of this year by 193 percent compared to the same period last year, where the amount produced 419.5 thousand pieces worth about 849 million pounds in 2019 compared to 217 thousand pieces worth 634 million pounds, while the value of the entire production 1.751 billion pounds compared to 1.515 billion pounds in the same period last year, the rate of development of 116 percent.
The Director General of the company, Engineer Haitham Zaher, said in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the development of production is due to the expansion of the work base through the creation of four additional production units distributed to the complexes of vocational training centers in Homs and Damascus and in the city of Dreikish and the town of Beit Yashout in Lattakia countryside and provided job opportunities for 400 martyrs. The army was injured under professional contracts, which contributed to the increase of production during the current year, pointing out that the establishment of these units was at no additional cost.
On the sales between Zaher recorded a growth rate of 199 percent of the amount of ready-made clothes sales for the same period last year, pointing out that the amount amounted to 415073 pieces worth 827.8 million pounds this year compared to 207 thousand pieces worth 630 million pounds in the same period last year to reach the total sales value The company of ready-made clothes and purchases for sale to 1.7 billion pounds this year, an implementation rate of 143 percent and an increase of about 230 million pounds over last year.
Zaher explained that the increase in sales is the result of the expansion of the establishment of new sales halls of the company in most of the governorates with a focus on warehouse production, pointing out the discharge of 29 thousand pieces of warehouses, amounting to 87 thousand pieces at the beginning of this year in addition to securing labor clothes and the need of many institutions, companies and contractors with Company.
The company achieved profits during the first nine months of this year by 121 million pounds compared to 65 million in the same period last year.
