Damascus Securities Exchange index rose about 76 points in the month of October

DAMASCUS, (SANA) - The main index of the Damascus Securities Exchange (DSE) during the month of October rose 75.58 points over the month

The main index of the Damascus Securities Exchange during the month of October last 75.58 points from the previous month and a change rate of 1.33 percent to close at 5743.83 points.

Market data indicated that the index of leading stocks closed at 889.19 points, down by 17.90 points, or by 1.97 percent, while the volume of trading during the last month to 1169739 shares belonging to 21 companies distributed among 1468 transactions worth a total of 671.942 million pounds.

As for the changes recorded on the shares of companies, the number of 12 companies rose shares of four companies, which shares Al-Aqeelah Takaful Insurance Company by 3.48 percent and closed its shares at the price of 331.47 pounds and Sham Bank shares by 21.5 percent and closed at the price of 607.30 pounds and Al Baraka Bank by 29.3 percent and closed at 836.78 pounds Shares of Bank of Syria and the Gulf by 0.19 percent and closed at 305.57 pounds.

The eight decliners were Fransabank by 12.17 percent, Bank of Syria and Overseas by 3.92 percent, International Bank for Trade and Finance by 8.44 percent and National Insurance by 1.94 percent.

Other losers included Qatar National Bank by 1.89 percent, Al Sharq Bank by 1.97 percent, Syria International Islamic Bank by 7.29 percent and Syriatel by 2 percent, while the other 15 listed companies did not record any adjustment to their prices and closed equal to the previous closing prices.

The market witnessed last month the listing of Al Badia Cement Company, bringing the number of listed companies to 27.
