Washington-SANA

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The first hearings in the probe to isolate US President Donald Trump will take place in the first two days of next week, House of Representatives Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said on Tuesday.

Officials including William Taylor, the current US ambassador to Ukraine who backed Trump's accusation of seeking to put pressure on Kiev to investigate rival Joe Biden for personal political gain, will testify next Wednesday, Schiff said. Former US Ambassador to Ukraine Mary Jovanovich will testify next Friday.

The US investigation committees aimed at isolating Trump announced yesterday summoning the Acting Chief of the White House Acting Mick Malfani to testify next Friday.

A new poll by the Wall Street Journal and NBC showed earlier in the day that more than half of Americans support the investigation to isolate Trump.
