During the past month, the Savings Bank in Sweida and its office in Salkhad City have granted 550 loans worth 764 million to low-income people working in the country, retirees and scientific and free professions.
In a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin, the bank's director Bassam Al-Saleem pointed out that the bank witnessed a large movement of lending during the last month.
Al-Saleem pointed out that the bank grants loans to low-income employees of the state and the military with a ceiling of one million pounds and retired civilians and military with a ceiling of five hundred thousand pounds and owners of scientific professions up to below one million pounds and a maximum of fifty million pounds and free professions with a ceiling of 25 million pounds in addition to development loans to the existing establishments working in the ceiling of fifty Million pounds.
The value of loans granted by the Savings Bank in Sweida since the beginning of this year until the end of the third quarter amounted to two billion eight hundred and twenty-two million pounds benefited three thousand and forty-three citizens.
