The University of Damascus announced that the number of students who applied to differentiate open education for the academic year 2019-2020 reached 16961 students.
Dr. Safaa Otani, Vice Chancellor for Open Education Affairs, told SANA today that the admission period for applications in accredited registration centers has ended today and the results will be issued next week and students will be given a period to object to the results. Desires and sequence of grades according to the absorptive capacity of the programs specified in accordance with the decisions of the Higher Education Council.
Otani pointed out that 1,000 students will be admitted to the legal studies program, 500 students in both media and translation programs in English, international studies, diplomacy and educational qualification diploma, 800 students in both accounting and SME management programs and 700 students in the kindergarten program.
The University of Damascus announced on the twenty-fourth of the month of October last the conditions and procedures for the application of open education to Syrian students who hold high school diplomas, students with special needs, students covered by the provisions of Decree No. 218 dated 26-6-2018, and Arab and foreign students and holders of technical certificates and children of Syrian women In addition to the documents required for the application and the procedures for the application to trade in person or online during the period between 27-10 and 7-11-2019.
