Metal damage during the trip to Germany: US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has begun his two-day journey. On the way to the village Mödlareuth, there was a small accident in the column of about 40 vehicles by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. As accompanying US reporters reported, however, the vehicles could continue with a sheet metal damage.

The village on the Bavarian-Thuringian border with almost 50 inhabitants was cut through by a border wall at the time of the German division and had therefore received the nickname "Little Berlin".
Pompeo visits several places in Germany this Thursday and Friday. In the formerly shared place Mödlareuth he met with Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (SPD).
