Maintenance workshops in Damascus governorate started asphalting the Kiwan road, which runs from Tishreen Bridge towards Umayyad Square.

The Director of Maintenance in Damascus Governorate, Mohammad Hamamiya, told SANA that the area of ​​the road being asphalted amounted to more than 5,000 square meters, indicating that the road coming from Rabwah towards Umayyad Square and the descending “Ramb” road from Mouwasat Hospital towards the square were closed today until completion. Of asphalting.

Hammiya pointed out that the Directorate has finished repairing tendencies and asphalting the road in the ninth node in Kafr Soussa area with an estimated area of ​​more than 5 thousand square meters that needed 800 tons of asphalt, and finished asphalting Nisreen Street in solidarity with an area of ​​400 square meters that needed more than 75 tons of asphalt.

Asphalting on vital roads takes place on holidays to prevent any traffic jams at times such as Kiwan Road.

Hammameh said that the work of paving roads, skimming, asphalting and renovation of asphalt is in accordance with the service plan set by the province, pointing out that the Directorate is working at full capacity within the capabilities available in the neighborhoods of Damascus in addition to the work of its workshops within the city.
