(CNN Spanish) - The president of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Quim Torra, said in a statement released Thursday that he has not had any relationship with detainees linked to the self-appointed CDR, the Defense Committees of the Republic.

“Given the information published in these last hours following the opening of the summary secret of the Judas operation, instructed by the Spanish National Court, the president of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Quim Torra, denies them and does not give them any credibility ”, Says the statement.

The Catalan president also asked for clarification on what conditions the statements of the detainees were produced and demanded that their right of defense be preserved.

The National Court confirmed to CNN that the summary secret of a part of the case has been lifted, although it did not give more details.

In recent hours, various Spanish media published information on alleged conversations between Torra and the CDR investigated by the National Court, which accuses them of terrorism and possession of explosives, among other crimes.

It has also been disseminated that the CoRs would have raised themselves in the Catalan parliament with Torra when the sentence against the independence of Catalonia, the so-called "Procés", was announced.

The Solidarity Alert organization, which exercises the defense of some of the CDR detained last September, said Thursday in a statement that the accusations "have no legal basis."

Regarding the filtered statements of two of those investigated, the defense assures that they cannot be valid because they occurred in a context of coercion and threats. In addition, they had to wait between 5 and 25 days to access their trusted lawyer, which happened after these statements, they add.

For his part, the president of the acting Government, Pedro Sánchez, urged a television interview on Thursday to Quim Torra to appear in the Catalan Parliament and clarify his relationship with the CoR.
