The water management and rehabilitation team at the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa has reinstated the Al-Ash'ari water pipeline in the town of Sidon to service after necessary maintenance.

The team official, Eng. Alaa Barmo, told SANA today that the team, in coordination with the Daraa Water Foundation and with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross, has re-installed the necessary pipelines with a length of 120 meters and a diameter of 400 millimeters, thus re-delivering water to all villages and towns of the eastern countryside.

He added that the team at the previous stage has maintained the Naima pumping station in Daraa countryside and the line is ready for experimentation and pumping water from the town of Naima to Bosra, thus solving the problem of lack of drinking water in the eastern countryside within the towns of Naima, Saida, Kahil, Msifra, Sahwa, Bosra and others.

At the beginning of last month, the water and rehabilitation management team implemented five medium voltage power lines to provide sufficient power to operate five drinking water wells in Azraa, Qarfa, Tibnah, Qaniya and Kamuna.
