The Water and Wastewater Foundation in Daraa has completed the civil works of the fifth phase irrigation project, which will benefit 75,000 people.

The Director General of the Water Corporation, Eng. Mohammad Al-Masalmeh, told SANA today that the workshops also completed the rehabilitation of Al-Ash'ari project to irrigate the city of Nawa and its countryside by equipping two pumping stations and a main reservoir and repairing the 14 km long traction line with a total of 120,000 beneficiaries.

Al-Masalmeh pointed out that the Foundation has equipped a pumping station for the benefit of the city of Bosra and in cooperation with some authorities working in the field of drinking water, civil works for the pumping station will be supplying electrical and mechanical equipment soon, explaining that the number of citizens who benefit from the stations up to 50,000 people.

He said that the Foundation has several projects currently implemented and all fall within the framework of the rehabilitation of the drinking water system and raise the per capita share of water and serve the citizens.The Foundation is currently implementing a project to deliver water to the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad and the road of the dam and the camp from the irrigation project in Khirbet Ghazaleh worth 364 million pounds.
