Nur Sultan-Sana
The next round of Astana talks on the crisis in Syria could be held in late November or early next month in Nur Sultan, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Ipek Smedyarov said.
Smedyarov explained to reporters today that talks are ongoing between the parties of the Astana process in order to determine the date of the next round of Astana meetings on Syria and we expect to be in late November or early December.
Astana meetings began in the Kazakh capital since the beginning of 2017 and held 13 meetings, one of them in the Russian city of Sochi, and stressed in its entirety the firm commitment to preserve the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria and to continue the war on the terrorist organizations until it is finally defeated.
