The tests conducted by the Excellence and Innovation Commission in cooperation with the directorates of education included students qualified from the qualifying schools "phase I" science "mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics and biology" where the questions were placed centrally by the scientific committee in the Commission while it will be corrected by specialists in each educational complex Under the supervision of the province's Olympic Committee.

SANA's Director of Information Office of Excellence and Creativity, Malek Hammoud, said that the second stage qualifiers are qualitative and scientific tests that are higher and deeper than the previous stage and the successful ones qualify to the third stage at the provincial level.

In interviews with SANA, a number of students expressed their hope to achieve advanced positions in this year's competition and join national teams to participate in international competitions, pointing out that the Olympics is an opportunity to discover new worlds of non-traditional knowledge.

In Sweida, the director of education in the province, Bassam Abu Mahmoud, said that 1011 students who took the tests were distributed to six exam centers, including the complexes of the city of Suwayda, Shahba, Salkhad, Al-Qarya, Al-Mishnif and Al-Mazra'a.

A number of students taking the exams expressed their ambition to reach advanced levels at the national level and to represent Syria in international forums.

In Daraa, 1723 students participated in the tests. The Assistant Director of Education for Secondary Education Affairs, Wael Al-Salem, told SANA's correspondent that the second stage was being prepared a week ago.

In Homs, 3500 male and female students participated in the tests. In Lattakia, 1605 male and female students participated in the tests. Imran Abu Khalil, director of education in the governorate, said in a statement to SANA correspondent to the directorate's efforts to secure the necessary infrastructure to conduct the tests, where there were 10 exam premises including 16 examination centers.

In Tartous, Ali Shahoud, director of education in the province, said that the number of students participating in the five materials reached 2496 students distributed to nine centers in the province.

In Hama, the second stage of the Syrian scientific Olympiad provided 2937 students from the tenth grade in 38 schools across the governorate in addition to 144 students from Idlib province.

The director of education Hama Yahya told Sana correspondent that the tests were conducted according to each specialty chosen by the student, noting that the questions included three levels of normal, medium and high simulated the higher levels of thinking for outstanding students.

A number of students stressed that participating in the Olympics would improve their abilities and competence and raise their levels in scientific subjects.

In Aleppo, 1,725 ​​students from public and private schools in Al-Ma'moun and Nablus took part in the tests.

According to Rasha Ogli, Assistant Director of Education in Aleppo, the level of questions takes into account the capabilities of students and their development, especially time management and scientific research to enable the student to obtain information accurately and systematically.

In Deir Ezzor, the director of education in the governorate, Khalil Haj Obeid, said that the number of participants in the tests reached 399 students distributed to three centers in each of the city of Deir Ezzor, Mayadeen and Mohsen.

In Al-Hasakah, 423 students participated in the competitions.

In the first phase of the Olympics, which took place last month, 1265 students from 23 schools in the cities of al-Hasakah, al-Qamishli and their countryside participated.

It is scheduled to be the third phase tests at the provincial level on the twenty-first of this month.

The Syrian scientific Olympiad competitions are held in a hierarchical and consecutive manner, starting with schools and then at the regional level and then at the provincial level and then at the level of Syria. .
