Russian Defense Ministry announced its intention to help Egypt to establish centers for the maintenance of weapons and military equipment on Egyptian territory.
This came during a meeting with Egyptian Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki and his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu on the sidelines of the meeting of the sixth military-technical cooperation committee in Egypt.
"This assistance is a great honor for Egypt because Russia wants to help in light of the experience and experience gained during the war against terrorism in Syria," the Egyptian defense minister said.
During the meeting, military and technical cooperation between the two countries' armies was discussed.
An Egyptian army spokesman said that the meeting dealt with means of enhancing cooperation in light of the good relations between the two countries.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said during a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo today that Russia is ready to help strengthen the Egyptian armed forces and increase its defense capabilities.
