The People's Assembly today, at its twenty-second session of the 11th ordinary session of the second legislative role, chaired by Speaker Hamouda Sabbagh, continued to discuss the articles of the new draft law on the Artists Syndicate to replace Law No. 13 of 1990.
The Council returned three articles of the draft law of Chapter II related to the dissolution of the General Conference, the Bar Council and the branch councils to the Education, Scientific and Research Committee for further consideration after a majority vote.
The Council approved all the articles of chapter one of chapter four related to the rights and duties of the members. The union shall defend the professional rights of its members in all matters related to the practice of the profession or because of it. This law and any act that leads to the violation of these objectives shall be subject to disciplinary punishment.
The Council also approved the nine articles of Chapter Two, including disciplinary punishments. The Council of the Union suspends the membership of the member or exerciser who declares media or participates in festivals, celebrations or events against the Syrian Arab Republic and anyone who requests to antagonize Syria and its people Whoever prestige the state or provoke sedition in any way punishable under the Syrian Penal Code and other criminal laws and refer him to the judiciary asking the Public Prosecution to initiate the public right against him and to consider the union as a personal prosecutor. Affects the conditions of membership in the union.
The Council stopped its deliberations on the articles of the draft law at the fifth chapter, which includes financial affairs.
The session, which was attended by Minister of Culture Mohammed Al-Ahmad and the State for People's Assembly Affairs, Abdullah Abdullah, was adjourned until 11:00 Wednesday.
