The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced this evening the death of six people and the injury of 15 others after a fire broke out due to a gas leak in the manor of the pipes of Itay El-Baroud in the northern province of Beheira.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, the ministry's spokesman, said that 20 ambulances equipped with the site of the accident were paid and the injured were taken to the hospitals of Kafr al-Dawar, Itai al-Baroud and Damanhur educational hospitals for treatment.
Mujahid also confirmed that the maximum alert level has been raised in all hospitals in Beheira governorate and that all the injured are receiving the necessary medical care and are being monitored until they leave after their health condition has improved.
