Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Dr. Atef Naddaf discussed with the Representative and Country Director of the World Food Program in Syria Corinne Flasher and the accompanying delegation the possibility of cooperation between the two sides, especially in the field of supporting, rehabilitation, restoration and development of production lines of bakeries and public mills destroyed by terrorism and the provision of backup electric generating sets for bakeries.
The talk also focused on the partnership between the program and the Syrian Trade Foundation to provide food support to needy families through vouchers and ways to support the central laboratories with the necessary equipment for testing and laboratory analysis and the provision of sampling devices for food from the markets and conduct the required analyzes.
Nadaf noted the cooperation between the government and the World Food Program, pointing to the burdens borne by the state in light of the unilateral economic measures imposed on the Syrian people and the repercussions of the terrorist war to provide the needs of goods and foodstuffs and to respond to the liberated areas.
