Politicians and artists who fled to Mexico

The former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, arrived in Mexico on Tuesday where he will receive asylum from the Government. The ex-president, who resigned after intense protests over allegations of electoral fraud, joins a list of famous exiles and asylees in Mexico. The country's foreign minister, Marcelo Ebrard, said granting him asylum was consistent with Mexico's foreign policy principles.
