President Bashar al-Assad today accepted the credentials of Wajid Fawzi as Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia and Barry Philippe Gilder as Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the Syrian Arab Republic.
President al-Assad received the ambassadors separately and wished them success in their missions.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Walid al-Moallem and Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The two new ambassadors were received at the People's Palace by the usual ceremony.
