Since the return of safety and stability to Palmyra, the neighborhoods of the city have witnessed the return of dozens of families to their homes every week after years of displacement as a result of the terrorism of the Islamic State "Takfiri" before its defeat thanks to the heroics and sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army.
Palmyra City Council President Hani Daas told SANA that "the families of Palmyra displaced by terrorism are gradually returning to their homes, where more than 350 families have returned since the safety return to the city." Daas explained that the educational process in Palmyra “is going well after the opening of two schools recently after the completion of the process of repairing what was devastated by terrorism.” He explained that “the city council is collecting garbage on a daily basis, deporting debris, spraying the necessary insecticides and coordinating with government agencies to reactivate all state institutions. And the return of workers to encourage the return of all parents.
Asaad Abu Ahmed, owner of a restaurant, said: “We have returned to our homes from which we have abandoned terrorism, thanks to the Syrian Arab Army and we are satisfied with the availability of safety and basic services required for the area.” He called for providing more services such as providing additional quantities of domestic gas and diesel and completing the delivery of electricity and water to all citizens. And the need to return workers in some service departments, especially the civil and financial registry, banks and the Badia and Agriculture to facilitate the necessary services instead of going to Homs.
Mohammed Abdullah, who was one of the displaced people living in Al-Rukban camp, expressed his joy at his arrival in the city of Palmyra and finding a job for him and his children in Sabkha Mouh, Palmyra, noting that the city is enjoying various services and is increasing day by day, calling on all the people of Palmyra to return to their homes.
