Police have denied entry to Germany to a suspected supporter of the right-wing terrorist "Nuclear Weapons Division" (AWD), according to a US FBI referral.
The 31-year-old US citizen landed last Thursday in Dublin on a Berlin-Tegel flight, as "Zeit Online" learned from security circles. There, the alleged neo-Nazi was questioned by the German police, before he had to return the same evening.
The Americans belong "to the hard core of the AWD," said a German security expert. US authorities consider the group extremely dangerous. AWD followers are counted in the US five murders.
The 31-year-old US citizen stated in his survey at the airport Berlin-Tegel, he wanted to marry in Germany and go on vacation. In fact, a young German from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern had come to the airport to pick him up.
Recently, Green politicians Claudia Roth and Cem Özdemir had received death threats signed with the sender of "Nuclear Weapons Division Germany". It is unclear whether the threats to Roth and Özdemir actually come from the neo-Nazi group or were sent by a freeloader.
The security authorities are currently investigating which structures are behind the AWD in this country, who belongs to them and how it is networked.
