In a statement to SANA delegate, Al-Zahir explained that the establishment started implementing the periodic maintenance program since last September, which is continuing until the end of this month, which includes maintenance of power plants to raise their efficiency and capacity to increase electricity production and reduce loads in winter, pointing out that work is done according to priorities in the most needy plant Then least so that all stations are in service.

It is apparent that by the end of the month will enter all generating stations operating on gas and fuel service and in parallel will continue to work on the preventive and periodic maintenance of all components of the electrical system from high-voltage lines to the conversion stations where we conduct preventive maintenance for each cell so as not to be exposed to emergency separation during Winter, pointing out that the principle of periodic maintenance and preventive contributed significantly to mitigate the faults and technical damage that got to the electrical network.

To alleviate the forced rationing between the apparent that the electrical network has been expanded in switching stations and enlarging the capacity of power transformers, especially in places where there has been a significant increase in the population during the years of the terrorist war. By adding new transformers in some plants to meet the energy demand.

Al-Zahir pointed out that during the past period, new conversion stations have been put in service in some governorates such as the plant conversion station in As-Suwayda, which feeds the city center and Dahr Al-Jabal. All conversion stations in Deir Ezzor have completed some conversion stations and work is underway to feed the area Albokamal electricity.
