The death toll from the devastating wildfires in eastern Australia has risen to four.
Residents found a body outside the town of Kempsey in New South Wales, one of several areas hit by forest fires in recent days, bringing the death toll to four.
Police said the identity of the body had not yet been identified, but it was believed to be an 85-year-old man living in the area.
Three people died in forest fires in the state of New South Wales, which was hardest hit by fires along the east coast late last week.
The fire has destroyed hundreds of homes and burned more than a million hectares of land. Hard weather is expected to reign in Queensland and New South Wales over the weekend as temperatures and winds rise.
