DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Poliansky said on Wednesday that any illegal foreign presence in Syria should be ended, pointing out that what Washington is doing in the Al-Jazeera region destabilizes Syria.

"Any illegal military presence on Syrian territory should be ended and this is what we emphasize that Syria's oil belongs to its people and therefore what Washington is doing on the Syrian island is a looting of resources and all oil fields and wells should be returned to control," Polianski told a Security Council session today.
