President Bashar al-Assad today received Mojtaba Zul Nouri, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting dealt with the latest developments in the region.
The meeting also discussed ways of developing relations between the two countries in various fields, especially the economic field.
President al-Assad explained during the meeting that the most important elements of the axis of counter-terrorism strength is its adherence to the principles and principles that can not be changed, stressing that our conflict we and our friends continue to face the ambitions of the West and its colonial countries by hitting its agents and mercenaries who began to defeat in more than one place.
President al-Assad pointed out that Syria supports any efforts aimed at finding a solution to the situation in Syria, but attempts are underway to suggest that the solution to the war could be achieved through the constitutional committee. This is not true because the war in Syria did not arise because of disagreement or division over the constitution. There is terrorism that started with murder, intimidation and sabotage. The war ends only when terrorism ends.
For his part, Dhul-Nouri congratulated Syria on the leadership and people of the victories achieved so far against terrorism, stressing that what combines Iran and Syria is far from tactical issues on the ground, but is one fate and a shared honorable history. It won at the time despite its multiple fronts, and Syria will also win despite all the difficulties it faces.
