The United States and its allies continue to destructively interfere in the internal affairs of Syria, and Washington is looting and stealing the national wealth of the Syrian people and directly preventing a rapid revival of the Syrian state's economy, the Syrian and Russian coordinating bodies on the return of displaced Syrians said.

In a joint statement at the end of a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Local Administration and the Environment via video conference, the two bodies called on the United Nations to put pressure on the United States to end the tragedy of the displaced Syrians held in the Rukban camp and return them to their areas free of terrorism and to withdraw its occupying forces from the al-Tanf area.

The two bodies pointed out that the Syrian state, in cooperation with Russia, is working effectively to return all Syrian displaced from Rukban camp to their homes and end their continued suffering as a result of coercive and intimidating practices by the US occupation forces and their allies to prevent refugees from leaving the camp.

The statement pointed out that the intensive efforts made by the Syrian state and Russia have led to the return of hundreds of thousands of displaced people to their areas free from terrorism, while providing health and educational services and creating conditions for the reception of displaced persons wishing to return to their safe areas after liberation from terrorism.

The Syrian State, in coordination with international humanitarian organizations, continues to provide assistance to the inhabitants of al-Houl camp in al-Hasakah countryside, where tens of thousands of children have been left unattended, extremist and in need of salvation, while the United States and its allies continue to devastate interference in internal affairs. It is looting and stealing the national wealth of the Syrian people and directly preventing a rapid revival of the state's economy.

The statement condemned the US attempts to thwart the great efforts made by the Syrian state and Russia to secure the return of the displaced and continue inciting measures to prevent the return of Syrian citizens from neighboring countries through the broadcast of lies.

In a speech, Minister of Local Administration and Environment Hussein Makhlouf reviewed the measures taken by the Syrian state to ensure the safe return of the displaced and provide them with all the necessities of a decent living, stressing that work is continuing to accelerate the return of displaced Syrians from abroad and facilitate their entry procedures from the border crossings.

Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriates Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad confirmed that the Syrian state has provided all facilities and humanitarian, medical and relief assistance to the returnees in the temporary residences and residences that they returned to them in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and some United Nations organizations. The American side practiced misinformation, deception and intimidation against them to hinder their exit.

The Governor of Homs Talal Al-Barazi gave a presentation on the work carried out by the governorate in cooperation with international and civil organizations to provide all relief, health, food, housing and meals for the out of Rukban camp.
