The kings of Spain visit Havana on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the founding of the city. Felipe VI and Letizia were in El Templete, a neoclassical construction, next to an old ceiba tree, which marks where the Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana was founded, in 1519. Accompanied by the historian Eusebio Leal, they also toured the adjoining Plaza de Armas, the Palace of the General Captains and an 18th-century building, in the Baroque style.
