(CNN Spanish) - The electoral result of Spain in the recent elections is as follows: the Socialist Party (PSOE) loses power, the Popular Party (PP) is consolidated as a second force and VOX, the extreme right, is consolidated as the third option. The extreme left remains in the background and the Citizens group deflates.

These elections were held because Mr. Pedro Sánchez could not agree with the extreme left, stating in the middle of the campaign that: “Neither before, nor after, the PSOE will agree with populism. This country would not feel calm with Podemos in the government. Spain does not deserve Podemos controlling the CNI, with the direct or indirect support of independence. Can you imagine, with this crisis in Catalonia, half of the government, with Podemos inside, stating that there are political prisoners in Catalonia and defending self-determination there? ”

Santiago Abascal, VOX representative, without any waste has highlighted the following: “Pedro Sánchez has no word, no scruples, no shame, no principles; We are facing an absolutely dishonest and ambitious politician who has acted as a professional scammer before all Spaniards. ”

Today we see a pact between Sánchez and Pablo Iglesias - of Podemos - that worries Europe; an operation with ambitions to govern at the expense of whatever. It was suspected that both did not rule out the possibilities of exploring a populist and separatist front, which will cost Spain very expensive.

As usual, Podemos and the separatists will seek to implement the weakening of borders, continue with the task of delegitimization and division of the Spaniards, as well as with the isolation of the Crown.

Spain will take a leap back with a government that will do a lot of damage. However, we Spaniards will get the necessary mechanisms to isolate those who seek democratic weakening.

The question at the table is the following: who can explain to us how, in just 24 hours, Sánchez and Iglesias reached an agreement when, a week ago, 135 million euros had to be spent - about US $ 150 million - in a electoral process that occurred just because they did not agree?

It is late for this reflection, but if Citizens had yielded to a pre-election pact with the PP, the music that would sound in Spain today would be of greater democracy.

At any event, long live Spain and long live the king!
