New Delhi-Sana

The Indian Communist Party strongly condemned the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory, calling on the Turkish regime to withdraw its forces and mercenaries from the occupied territories and to stop supporting and protecting terrorist organizations in Syria.

Secretary General of the Communist Party of India Dorisami Raja noted during his meeting with Dr. Mohsen Bilal, a member of the Central Command of the Baath Arab Socialist Party in New Delhi, the pivotal role played by Syria in combating terrorism and the historical relations between the peoples of the two friendly countries and between the Communist Party of India and the Arab Baath Socialist Party.

For his part, Dr. Bilal gave a detailed explanation of the latest developments in Syria, pointing to the restoration of security, stability and normal life to most Syrian territories after clearing them of terrorism.

The meeting was attended by Syrian Ambassador to India Dr. Riyad Abbas.

In a related context, Dr. Bilal met Dr. Najma Akhtar, President of the Islamic University in New Delhi, during which they discussed ways of cooperation between the university and the Syrian universities.

During an interactive seminar entitled "War on Syria" with students of the Department of International and Political Studies in Western Asia, Dr. Bilal gave a detailed explanation about the war on Syria and the systematic killing and destruction scheme that targeted the Syrian people, their properties and their great cultural heritage.

Dr. Bilal answered questions from students and researchers at the university about the Syrian issue, the Turkish aggression and the international support for terrorism in Syria, denouncing the misleading Western media about lies in Syria.
